Help Local REALTOR® & Philanthropist Earn The “Good Neighbor” Award

When it comes to guiding the homeownership journey, real estate agents play a pivotal role in the process of buying or selling a home. Their local knowledge and market expertise provide home buyers and sellers with the tools they need to make informed decisions and to maximize their investments.

While those skills alone are incredibly valuable to the real estate process, real estate agents also have the extraordinary honor of being deeply connected to their communities.

One local REALTOR® personifies that commitment to the community in his dedication to feeding underprivileged youth. Bob Bell, broker-owner of MILE HIGH PROPERTY in Arvada Colorado, has earned himself a nomination for the the National Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award.

Serving Underprivileged Youth

Ten years ago, Bob felt a calling to help children and families during vulnerable moments in their lives. Through his volunteer work, he became aware of the widespread need for food services for children in his local community. When Bell discovered that many local students struggled with access to food during weekends or breaks, he knew he had to do something to help. In 2012, Bob launched Food For Thought, a charity dedicated to fighting childhood hunger. 100% volunteer-run, this organization strives to keep overhead costs low, in order to donate directly to students and families in need. Bob and Food For Thought provide over 10,000 elementary students PowerSacks containing enough to feed a family of four two meals. They also stock food pantries that are distributed across eight high schools.

Encouraging others to help is something Bob and his team promote through their leadership in the community.

“If I can do it, trust me, anybody can do it.”

Bob’s dedication and heart for helping children and families in need has landed him a nomination for the Good Neighbor Award.

Congratulations to Bob and Food For Thought for their extraordinary efforts in our community!
