Best Colorado Cities for First Time Home Buyers

When buying a first home, home buyers know that location plays an important role. The neighborhood you choose is every bit as important as the house itself.

But when it comes to weighing the pros and cons of a neighborhood, how do you measure the best place to buy a home?

WalletHub compared 300 cities across the US, considering factors including affordability, cost of living, market attractiveness, and quality of life, to determine 2018’s Best & Worst Cities for First-Time Home Buyers.

Even with rising home prices, Colorado cities ranked high on the list.

In the overall rankings, both Centennial and Thornton appeared in the top 10. Arvada, Greeley, Longmont, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, and Westminster were also included in the top 30.

Quality of Life

When ranked based on “Quality of Life” score, Colorado cities took up 7 of the top 8 spots on the list!

Quality of life score was based on recreation, weather, school systems, job market, crime rate, and more.
