REcolorado a Real Estate ‘Trendsetter’ in 2017

By REcolorado News

At REcolorado, we strive to be an industry leader in everything we do. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that REcolorado President and CEO, Kirby Slunaker was recently recognized as a ‘Trendsetter’ in Stephan Swanepoel’s 2017 Power 200. Each year, Swanepoel seeks to acknowledge innovators, dealmakers, and movers-and-shakers who made a noteworthy impact in residential real estate.

But what, specifically, made REcolorado and Kirby Slunaker so noteworthy in 2016? A “bold expansion strategy.”

In addition to providing a comprehensive set of industry-leading products and services to real estate professionals across the Denver Front Range, last year, we grew the footprint of our public-facing home search site, REcolorado.com, to include listings from six Colorado real estate partners – Vail Board of REALTORS®, Steamboat Springs Board of REALTORS®, Grand County Board of REALTORS®, Telluride Association of REALTORS®, Royal Gorge Association of REALTORS®, and REALTORS® of Central Colorado. This means that, now, real estate professionals and homebuyers can more seamlessly search the most accurate and up-to-date home listings throughout the state. It also means visitors are more likely to find the homes they’re looking for, either in metro Denver neighborhoods or Front Range mountain towns, because more reliable listing information is being shared.

Moreover, In December REcolorado made an offer to purchase IRES – the multiple listing service that serves northern Colorado. Brokers and agents serving the Denver metro and northern Colorado areas deserve the power and benefits that can only come from a true consolidation in the MLS industry. We believe that MLS regionalization is in the best interest of brokers, agents and appraisers. Home buyers, real estate professionals, and brokerage firms don’t have boundaries, so why should licensed agents? It only makes sense for MLSs to also operate without boundaries. Coming together collaboratively will give brokers and agents a stronger voice as well as better tools and resources with which to serve their clients. It will help focus attention on what matters – being the local experts who deliver great value to Colorado home buyers and sellers.

This isn’t the first time REcolorado has been recognized for its forward thinking. Thanks to our commitment to meeting the varying business needs of real estate professionals and Colorado homebuyers, as well as our dedication to continuously improving all our products and services, REcolorado was recently recognized by Inman as one of the most innovative MLSs of 2016 – a huge honor.

In the coming year, we’ll continue to move forward with breaking barriers in the real estate industry in an effort to better serve our clients. Here’s to an outstanding 2017!
