Quirky Features for Pet-Friendly Homes

We’re willing to go to great length to accommodate the wants and needs of our pets. So much so, that we’re often willing to make special arrangements for them in our homes. We wanted to know, what are the most unusual pet quirks in Colorado homes?

We asked REcolorado subscribers, REALTORS®, and real estate agents across Colorado about the quirkiest pet accommodations they’ve seen in homes for sale. Here’s what they said:

Cat Doors & Cat Walks

Pets are part of the family, and accommodating them in a way that works for both the animals and humans is what we do – this from a person who has a kitty door leading into the garage for some play and potty time. Houzz had a great post about a California home with all sorts of cat walks everywhere – cute!

Dedicated Cat Room

The strangest quirks for pets I have come across has to be the dedicated cat rooms including cat scratch towers and layers for them to bed down.

Skip the Showings

Sellers who do not like having showings because it upsets the cat. They would like the house sold without having showings.

Pet Grooming Tubs

The pet tub in the laundry room is not necessarily quirky, but sure hasn’t caught on like I thought it would!
